These are the specific goals we keep in mind when planning our Religion Time and other religious activities.

- know that God is good, and God is everywhere
- know that God is the Creator of the universe
- know that Christmas is the celebration of Jesus’ birth
- know that Mary is the Mother of Jesus
- know that it is important to go to Mass on Sunday
- know that we begin prayer with the Sign of the Cross
- give examples of what it means to belong to a family
- know examples of appropriate family behavior
- know that Jesus was a member of a family
- know to say “I am sorry” when we have hurt someone
- begin to know that prayer is talking and listening to God
- pray a grace before meals
- begin to discover God’s gift of creation
- know that God helps me to care for myself, and the things in my world
- demonstrate how we respect others and their property
- learn that Jesus has a special love for the poor
